Privacy Policy. What we collect, and why.

We keep this simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you and to understand how the site is used, and we never sell your data.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Kernly Design ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data collected through it.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at hello@kernlydesign.com.

2. What we collect

Information you send us. When you use the contact form, the free work form or the chat assistant, we collect what you enter:

How you use the site. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country or city, not your exact address). It uses cookies to do this.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the site securely.

3. How we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not add you to marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: taking steps at your request before a contract (replying to enquiries and preparing quotes or free work), our legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the site), and your consent where it is required, for example for analytics cookies.

5. Cookies

We use one kind of optional cookie: Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID), which help us count visits and see which pages are useful. They do not identify you by name.

These cookies are only set if you click Accept in our cookie banner. If you click Reject, no analytics cookies are stored. Google may still receive basic signals without cookies or identifiers, such as a page being viewed, which it uses to estimate overall visit numbers.

We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months, then ask again. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page.

The chat assistant also remembers, in your browser, that you have finished a chat, so it does not ask again. This is not used for tracking.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.

6. How long we keep it

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

7. International transfers

Our providers may store or process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

Email hello@kernlydesign.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to your data to the people who need it to work with you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses. The site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
